The newly renovated children's playground offers a variety of activities to keep the younger ones occupied. Situated next to the new swimming pool, it is a perfect place to relax and unwind with the kids. New additions include 2 climbing walls, slides, climbing frames, jungle gym and other activities.

Nestling at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains, George finds itself at the centre of natures “Garden Route” in the Cape Wildflower Floral Kingdom. George is widely regarded as the hub of the Southern Cape Region, and an ideal base from which to explore the Southern Cape and Little Karoo. George is easily accessible with a good road network and the George Airport, which links the Southern Cape and Little Karoo hinterland to the major centers of South Africa. It is the business hub of the region and offers a variety of conference facilities, restaurants, tourist attractions and activities.
In the town itself or close by is a variety activities throughout the year. Take a trip on the Outeniqua Power Van, a motorized trolley, that offers trips deep into the Outeniqua Mountains, from where the most scenic views of the Garden Route can be experienced. Pick your own strawberries at the Red Berry Farm or enjoy a visit to the nearby beaches at Herolds Bay and Victoria Bay, as well as the popular tourist attractions of Mossel Bay, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and the mysterious Cango Caves nearby Oudtshoorn.
The moderate climate makes George ideal for outdoor adventure all year round. For the golf enthusiast, George is heaven, with two of the top ten golf courses in South Africa. Other activities include walk or cycle the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains, hang-gliding, diving, angling in dam, lake or sea, water skiing, canoeing, climbing, sailing, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, mountain biking, quad biking, bird watching, scenic drives, boat trips, whale watching, horse riding, and hiking in the mountains. Visitors can drive up the Outeniqua pass and explore the hops and flower farms of Waboomskraal. Complete the route by exploring the old Montagu pass; visit the Herold Wines cellar and the 4 x 4 route.
